What you will do

• Follow up on overdue accounts using a relationship-led, non-scripted approach via phone, email, and SMS.
• Resolve payment issues, disputes, returns, and customer service queries.
• Assess new account applications, credit limits, and customer risk.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and accounts teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer communication.
• Monitor overdue accounts and identify customers at risk of liquidation or administration.

Requirements

• Australian business experience is essential, ideally with trade customers.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong credit or collections experience with an understanding of ABNs, entity types, and credit reporting.
• Strong AI capability and willingness to use AI tools for workflow improvement.
• High emotional intelligence and strong negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook).

• Experience with ERP or accounting systems like Connected Business or Xero.
