What you will do

• Lead the development of compliant and effective debt collection processes for retail credit portfolios.
• Own the end-to-end debt collections lifecycle, including policy documentation and strategy refinement.
• Optimize in-house and outsourced collection capabilities using advanced technology and analytics.
• Select and oversee debt collection agencies (DCAs) to ensure strict SLA adherence.
• Continuously improve collection metrics, tools, and automation opportunities.
• Ensure all processes remain compliant with local laws and regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in debt collection and recoveries within retail banking, fintech, or DCA.
• Fluency in English and German (C1 level).
• Deep knowledge of the German housing and mortgage market.
• Solid understanding of debt portfolio management, debt sales, and restructuring.
• Strong analytical mindset with proven problem-solving capabilities.
• Must be based in Germany.
