TL;DR

Head of Finance (Fintech): Rebuilding the finance function from the ground up for a VC-backed fintech with an accent on capital management, forecasting, and scaling towards Series C. Focus on architecting scalable financial operations, managing M&A due diligence, and implementing group-wide ERP systems.

Location: Berlin (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end budgeting cycle, including top-down and bottom-up planning and monthly variance reviews.
  • Build and maintain robust cash forecasting models to monitor burn rate and runway.
  • Prepare financial performance reports and KPIs for board meetings and investor presentations.
  • Lead financial aspects of equity rounds (Series C readiness) and manage M&A due diligence and integration.
  • Establish and manage banking relationships and treasury policies across Germany and Europe.
  • Scope and lead the implementation of an ERP system across the group.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in an in-house finance role (SaaS, VC-backed, PE, or Investment Banking).
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in VC-backed financing rounds post-Series B.
  • Expertise in building financial models from scratch for multi-entity and multi-currency structures.
  • Proficiency with tools such as DATEV, Stripe, Moss, Spendesk, and ERPs like NetSuite.
  • Fluent English; B2/C1+ German is strongly preferred.
