Salary: $208,500 – $284,025

What you will do

• Build, manage, and mentor a team of power systems and power electronics engineers.
• Set technical priorities and roadmaps for power conversion, controls, and system integration.
• Lead the architecture, single-line diagrams, and synchronization strategy for reactor configurations.
• Direct FMEAs and disturbance analysis to validate system stability and protection behavior.
• Oversee the development of in-house power electronics including converters, inverters, and generator controls.
• Manage system-level testing, commissioning, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in power or control systems.
• 8+ years of experience designing power systems for generation, microgrids, or mission-critical applications.
• 3+ years of experience in a formal people management role.
• Proven track record developing power electronics for high-power, medium-voltage equipment.
• Proficiency with power system modeling tools such as PSCAD, ETAP, PSS®E, or Simulink.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls.

Nice to have

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with islanded power systems supporting critical loads.
• Familiarity with grid codes and IEEE utility standards.
• Background in nuclear, aerospace, or defense industries.
