Salary: $123,000 - $150,000

What you will do

• Design and implement software for the build, test, and operation of satellite vehicles and customer payloads.
• Collaborate with mission operators and cross-functional engineering teams to scope and solve complex technical challenges.
• Facilitate software design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
• Develop across the full stack using Rust and TypeScript/Vue to support mission milestones.
• Provide on-call support for ground test activities and on-orbit spacecraft operations.
• Mentor junior engineers to foster strong software engineering practices.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, green card holder, or protected individual) due to ITAR export control regulations.
• Must be able to work on-site at the headquarters in Torrance, CA.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in modern software development practices including version control, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with space missions or satellite ground segments.
• Experience with Rust, Go, C++, or other statically-typed languages.
• Experience with modern frontend tooling like Vue, React, or Svelte.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, gRPC, and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and networking protocols.
