Location: Portland, Oregon, with field work based in Clackamas County. Most work takes place in occupied homes and in a vehicle, with a home office used for reporting and administrative work. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa or work authorization sponsorship is not available.
Salary: $75,000β$85,000 per year. Mileage is reimbursed at $0.76 per mile.

What you will do
- Conduct in-home energy assessments covering building shell, insulation, HVAC, and combustion safety.
- Document existing conditions and recommended upgrades in Home Energy Assessment reports.
- Explain findings, project scope, eligibility, required paperwork, and next steps to homeowners in English or Spanish.
- Submit accurate assessments and supporting documentation on time.
- Represent the program at occasional community outreach events, including some evenings and weekends.
- Work independently in the field while contractor coordination, bid and invoice review, and post-installation quality assurance are handled by other team members.
Requirements
- Conversational Spanish and English fluency required for technical homeowner conversations.
- Strong written English for clear and accurate assessment reports.
- At least 3 years of experience in home performance, weatherization, residential construction, HVAC, home inspection, or a comparable in-home trade.
- Working knowledge of residential building systems, careful documentation habits, and attention to detail.
- Comfort working in attics and crawlspaces.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and ability to work independently in the field.
Nice to have
- BPI Building Analyst Technician certification.
- Written Spanish for homeowner correspondence.
- Experience with income-qualified, utility-funded, or weatherization assistance programs.
- Existing ties to Clackamas County communities.
