What you will do

• Define and govern enterprise architecture standards for Commercial & Medical IT ensuring alignment with business strategy, security, and compliance.
• Lead architecture for strategic initiatives, shaping solution designs and guiding architectural decisions.
• Develop integration and data architecture strategies using scalable, secure patterns like APIs and event-driven architecture.
• Create multi-year architecture and business capability roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
• Simplify and rationalize application portfolios to reduce duplication and improve integration quality.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies including AI/ML, automation, and cloud services.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite at Research Triangle Park, NC, USA
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of IT experience with 3–5+ years in architecture leadership roles.
• Experience in enterprise architecture within regulated industries such as biotech, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration, data architecture, APIs, and secure system interoperability.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills across global business and IT teams.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as MS or MBA.
• Experience with Commercial & Medical platforms like CRM, omnichannel engagement, and analytics.
• Hands-on familiarity with Salesforce, Veeva, cloud data platforms, and enterprise integration tools.
• Experience integrating AI/ML, generative AI, and automation in regulated environments.
• Agile delivery experience, SAFe knowledge is a plus.
