Director, Enterprise Architecture (Healthcare)

Location: Remote Flex - North Carolina, United States

Salary: $191,153–$305,845 per year, plus annual incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute enterprise technology and architecture strategies aligned with business growth, product priorities, and healthcare digital transformation.
• Establish architecture standards, principles, reference architectures, and governance for major enterprise initiatives.
• Lead integration, modernization, API, data interoperability, clinical data exchange, and cloud transformation efforts.
• Evaluate platforms, vendors, frameworks, and emerging technologies while balancing innovation, risk, cost, security, and sustainability.
• Partner with business, IT, security, and risk leaders to guide solution design, compliance, investment planning, and value realization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing architecture team and track architecture KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in technology leadership roles at Director level or above.
• Experience leading technology strategy and enterprise architecture in complex healthcare environments, including payer and provider organizations.
• Experience with healthcare standards such as X12, FHIR, and HL7.
• Technical experience with cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, data analytics, AI/ML, observability, and DevSecDataAIOps practices.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Facets, Salesforce, and Snowflake, and public clouds including AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Technology consulting or advisory experience.
• Experience with technology integration during mergers and acquisitions.
• Knowledge of business architecture, Technology Business Management, or enterprise operating model design.
