Enterprise Architect (Hybrid)

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States; hybrid arrangement with three days per week in the office for associates within a 90-minute commute

Salary: $138,900–$257,600 base pay per year

What you will do

• Define enterprise architecture strategy, future-state capabilities, target-state architecture, roadmaps, and strategic models.
• Align business capability, technology, and data roadmaps with enterprise transformation objectives.
• Guide modernization, rationalization, technology lifecycle, platform, automation, AI, and innovation decisions.
• Advise senior business and technology leaders on investment priorities, risks, trade-offs, and business outcomes.
• Lead architecture governance forums, standards, guardrails, exceptions, and significant architectural decisions.
• Mentor architects and advance enterprise architecture practice maturity across business, technology, data, security, and delivery organizations.

Requirements

• Experience defining enterprise strategy, enterprise architecture direction, target-state architectures, governance models, and technology strategies.
• Experience translating business strategy into enterprise capabilities, architecture roadmaps, modernization priorities, and investment recommendations.
• Broad knowledge of business, application, data, technology, cloud, AI-enabled technologies, and enterprise governance.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder relationship management, strategic decision-making, and facilitation skills.
• Experience establishing enterprise standards, architectural guardrails, technology lifecycle strategies, and architecture governance.
• Experience mentoring architects, engineers, and technical leaders while improving architecture maturity.

Nice to have

• Experience in life insurance, retirement, financial products, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-enabled architecture in large enterprise environments.
• Experience leading modernization, rationalization, transformation, or capability planning initiatives.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture, capability-based planning, governance, and maturity frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
