TL;DR

Location: Must be based in or able to work from NYC or Boston (Hybrid)

Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 USD

Ocean is an early-stage startup spun out of hirify.global, building a membership layer for modern direct-to-consumer ecommerce.

What you will do

  • Define and obsess over funnel metrics across acquisition, signup, activation, and retention.
  • Generate and prioritize hypotheses to run a relentless experiment engine.
  • Design and manage end-to-end SMS and email lifecycle workflows.
  • Build and scale paid acquisition funnels to enhance growth results.
  • Ensure clean tracking and attribution to support data-driven decision making.

Requirements

  • Must be located in NYC or Boston
  • Direct experience driving growth in a D2C or ecommerce environment.
  • Proven track record of owning a funnel and moving metrics independently.
  • Fluency with lifecycle tooling and paid acquisition platforms like Meta.
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort in cohorts, CAC/LTV, and conversion metrics.
  • Scrappy, self-directed mindset suitable for an early-stage environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience marketing subscription or membership products.
  • Background in post-purchase, logistics, or shipping-adjacent products.
  • Hands-on comfort with analytics tools like GA4 and Amplitude.
