TL;DR

Bookkeeper (Finance): Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations for growing US and EU startups with an accent on full-cycle bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Focus on ensuring financial clarity, compliance, and operational stability to support confident decision-making.

Location: Remote (must be flexible with US time zones). Open to candidates in the Philippines, LATAM, South Africa, Kenya, and other remote regions.

What you will do

  • Record and categorize daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including vendor bills and payment schedules.
  • Handle accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and tracking collections.
  • Support month-end close activities and prepare basic financial statements.
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax documentation as required by clients.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and US financial standards.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Flexibility to work in US time zones.

Nice to have

  • Full-charge bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience with multi-entity or multi-currency accounting.
  • Accounting or bookkeeping certifications.
  • Experience with payroll systems like Gusto or ADP.
