Accounting Manager

Location: Remote from Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Jamaica, or Brazil; U.S. business hours required

hirify.global is hiring for a client that manages accounting operations and financial reporting across complex client accounts.

What you will do

• Own accurate and timely month-end close processes and prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and supporting schedules.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, and accounting operations across multiple entities and business segments.
• Process and validate payroll, employee setup, deductions, reimbursements, reporting, and compliance using platforms such as Gusto, Paylocity, or ADP.
• Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax, track deadlines, maintain compliance documentation, and support audits.
• Build financial reports and dashboards, support budgeting and forecasting, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to leadership.
• Improve accounting workflows through automation, templates, documentation, and standardized SOPs while coordinating with leadership, clients, and operational teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience with hands-on accrual accounting, GAAP reporting, and month-end close experience.
• Experience managing accounting across multiple entities, locations, or business segments.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, Data Tables, and financial analysis.
• Experience processing payroll through Gusto or similar platforms and handling U.S. sales tax filings.
• Strong written and verbal English, attention to detail, organization, independence, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines remotely during U.S. business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, Paylocity, ADP, Ramp, Bill.com, or Clockify.
• Outsourced or multi-client accounting experience.
• Experience improving accounting systems and workflows in complex, multi-entity organizations.
