Transmission System Stress Engineer (m/f)

Location: Marseille Area, based at the Marignane site in France

What you will do

• Analyze transmission system components for helicopters including the H160 and Racer.
• Perform static and fatigue analyses of metallic mechanical parts using FEM and Samcef.
• Define and follow up on flight and laboratory tests to validate and correlate Samcef models.
• Act as a technical authority for components associated with catastrophic failure risks.
• Defend substantiation documents before international aviation authorities.
• Develop calculation methods for next-generation rotorcraft systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent five-year degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least five years of experience analyzing mechanical parts, including metallic materials, strength of materials, static analysis, and fatigue analysis.
• Proven experience with FEM and Samcef.
• Advanced French and advanced English.
• Autonomy, team spirit, rigor, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work at the Marignane site in France; the position requires security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with crack propagation or fatigue testing.
• Knowledge of aviation authorities and certification processes.
