Senior Platform Software Engineer II (Kubernetes)

Salary: $156,364–$250,909 per year; expected OTE of $172,000–$276,000 per year, plus potential equity.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and evolve the internal infrastructure-as-a-service platform.
• Develop software services, automation frameworks, and centralized tooling for infrastructure provisioning, operations, and capacity management.
• Design and operate internal frameworks for asynchronous and background processing at massive scale, including systems built with Sidekiq.
• Provide abstractions, guardrails, monitoring, alerting, observability, and debugging tools for distributed processing systems.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment speed, infrastructure reliability, operational safety, and enterprise-grade service levels.
• Participate in PagerDuty incident response and use post-incident analysis to drive automation and system improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Experience building large-scale API-driven systems and working with application and systems observability.
• Experience building or automating Kubernetes-based operators and custom resources.
• Strong systems thinking, including interfaces, boundaries, edge cases, failure modes, and implementation details.
• Ability to collaborate across global remote teams, document technical decisions, manage multiple priorities, and deliver quickly.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and support infrastructure availability.
