Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, CA; Los Angeles, CA; New York City, NY; or San Francisco, CA

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 annual base salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate foundational cloud infrastructure and the internal developer platform.
• Develop golden-path templates, self-service tooling, local development environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage GCP, AWS, and Azure infrastructure with Terraform, Kubernetes operators, and Crossplane.
• Run Kubernetes clusters, including lifecycle management, upgrades, autoscaling, node management, and multi-cluster patterns.
• Own GitOps deployments with Argo CD, Helm, progressive delivery, rollback safety, and environment promotion.
• Build service mesh, networking, observability, zero-trust access, secrets management, and secure-by-default infrastructure.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering.
• Experience building internal developer platforms with a product mindset.
• Experience with public cloud, cloud-native technologies, Infrastructure-as-Code, and managed cloud services.
• Experience with on-premises or hybrid environments and data center or cloud migrations.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform or Pulumi, Crossplane or Kubernetes operators, service mesh, and software-defined networking.
• Experience with GitOps, progressive delivery, observability tools, and regulated environments involving HIPAA and SOC 2.
