Infrastructure Software Engineer, Apps Platform (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Expand platform deployments across on-premises environments and major cloud service providers.
• Build fast, secure, and reproducible deployment pipelines for cloud and customer-managed infrastructure.
• Improve observability so infrastructure teams can operate customer deployments efficiently.
• Partner with internal platform users, debug deployment issues, and build tooling for their needs.
• Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes.
• Lead architecture reviews, maintain the deployment and observability roadmap, and own projects from design through deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying enterprise and public-sector solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and on-premises environments.
• Deep expertise in infrastructure design, networking, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code, containerization, and orchestration using Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker.
• Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery principles using GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
• Experience with GitOps deployments, debugging production systems, and balancing performance and security tradeoffs.
• Ability to switch between incident response and proactive product development in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

• Founder or early infrastructure startup engineering experience with end-to-end product ownership.
• Experience securing workloads in multi-tenant or untrusted environments.
• Open-source contributions to systems or developer-tools projects.
• Production on-call and incident response experience.
