Software Engineer (US Security Clearance Required) (Cloud Infrastructure/SRE)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, or Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid working environment with in-office expectations.

Salary: 147,900–220,000 USD annually, depending on location, qualifications, experience, and education.

What you will do

• Operate and enhance the cloud services lifecycle from design and deployment through production operation and refinement.
• Build automation for deployment, packaging, monitoring, and efficient cloud operations.
• Administer Kubernetes, containerized, serverless, database, and backend infrastructure supporting SaaS/IaaS services.
• Monitor availability, latency, performance, and system health using Prometheus, Stackdriver, Elasticsearch, Grafana, and SolarWinds.
• Debug complex service bottlenecks, provide tier 2 and tier 3 support, and perform root cause analysis for production incidents.
• Create runbooks, manage security issues, track incidents, and collaborate with developers and cloud service provider teams.

Requirements

• Active US security clearance is required.
• 5+ years of experience with scripting and infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Deep knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, serverless computing, distributed systems, and DevOps/SRE methodologies.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and CoreOS, with experience using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to lead a Scrum team, influence stakeholders, maintain a product backlog, and manage sprints.
• Participation in on-call rotations and availability to work occasional odd hours are required. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, a master’s degree, or equivalent experience is required.
