TL;DR

Senior Employment Counsel (Legal): Providing comprehensive legal guidance on U.S. and international employment matters to support a rapidly scaling global workforce with an accent on performance management, wage-and-hour compliance, and litigation risk mitigation. Focus on developing scalable employment policies, managing internal investigations, and overseeing immigration compliance within a high-growth AI environment.

Location: Must be based in New York, NY (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $235,000 – $275,000 USD

What you will do

  • Provide day-to-day counseling to the People team on performance management, terminations, and employee relations.
  • Develop and implement scalable employment policies, handbooks, and training programs.
  • Manage employment litigation and conduct internal investigations.
  • Draft and review employment-related agreements, including offer letters and contractor agreements.
  • Support global immigration matters and corporate strategic transactions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor or foreign equivalent degree in Law required.
  • Active bar membership required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Employment Law.
  • Minimum 2 years of in-house experience at a high-growth technology company.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment law.
  • Experience managing immigration matters and employment litigation.
