What you will do

• Serve as the primary employment law advisor on recruiting, hiring, employee relations, performance management, and wage/hour compliance.
• Draft and negotiate employment-related documents, including offer letters, PIIAs, separation agreements, and compensation plans.
• Advise on equity compensation programs, focusing on offer structuring, tax considerations, and international plan mechanics.
• Support and ensure jurisdictional compliance for international offices in collaboration with local outside counsel.
• Partner with People, Finance, and business teams to facilitate organizational change and scaling in a high-growth environment.
• Develop and deliver training programs on employment law topics for managers and employees.

Requirements

• 6+ years of legal experience, combining large law firm and in-house experience at a tech company.
• Demonstrated depth in US state and federal employment law.
• Experience advising on international employment across multiple jurisdictions (UK, EU, APAC, or LatAm preferred).
• Excellent drafting skills for producing clean, business-ready employment documents.
• Strong judgment and ability to translate legal risk into actionable guidance for business leaders.
• Must be based in San Francisco, CA.
