Salary: $210,000–$250,000 (based on experience and location)

What you will do

  • Own legal needs across the company, including regulatory, government contracts, employment, and IP matters.
  • Serve as the primary legal point of contact for internal stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Operations.
  • Establish and scale internal legal processes, templates, and compliance frameworks.
  • Build and manage a network of outside counsel for complex legal matters.
  • Partner with the government contracts team on FARS/DFARS and defense program compliance.
  • Professionalize legal risk management and support leadership on corporate transactions.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
  • 3-8+ years of legal experience, ideally with a mix of top-tier law firm training and startup experience.
  • Ability to quickly become conversant in new areas like telecom regulation or government contracts.
  • Strong instincts for building processes from scratch in an ambiguous environment.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with both engineers and external specialists.
