UX Design Manager (SaaS)

What you will do

• Establish design vision, principles, and standards across all product areas.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of UX designers while remaining hands-on with complex design tasks.
• Evolve and govern design systems to ensure consistency across both modern and legacy interfaces.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions for diverse personas.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into feasible, elegant designs.
• Integrate AI-assisted design tools to accelerate documentation and exploration workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional UX or product design experience, preferably in SaaS or complex workflow environments.
• 1-2 years of experience managing or leading designers.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and interaction design thinking.
• Proficiency with modern design tools, specifically Figma.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, mostly asynchronous environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in edtech or student information systems.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or Vue.js environments.
• Background in service design or workflow mapping.
• Experience modernizing legacy interfaces or migrating to new design systems.
