TL;DR
Product Designer (UI/UX): Design and develop user interfaces and digital product flows for web and mobile applications with an accent on end-to-end product design lifecycle, design systems, and production-ready UI specifications. Focus on leading UX/UI work, synthesizing user research and analytics into iterative designs, and ensuring accessible, scalable implementation with engineering.
Location: San Mateo, CA (Hybrid; remote work up to 2 days per week). Travel to company events 2–3 times a year for 4–5 days each trip.
Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do
- Design user interfaces and product flows: wireframes, mock-ups, high-fidelity prototypes, and final UI specifications for web and mobile.
- Own the product design lifecycle: gather requirements, run user research and usability testing, synthesize feedback and analytics, and iterate on designs.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders to define requirements, design strategy, and roadmap.
- Maintain and evolve a design system to ensure consistent, accessible, and scalable UI across multiple products and platforms.
- Provide design leadership and mentorship by reviewing junior designers’ work and ensuring adherence to UX, interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility best practices.
- Partner with engineering to ensure feasibility and accurate implementation; participate in design QA as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Visual Design, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience as a Product Designer (or closely related roles such as Product Designer Intern, Graphic & Web Designer).
- 3 years of experience in both UX and UI design, including designing for web and mobile platforms.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and QA.
- Experience using analytics and behavioral-insight tools, and designing responsive web applications.
- Strong proficiency with modern design tools: Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Suite; knowledge of web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
