TL;DR

Business Development Manager (AI): Leading and scaling a sales and business development team to help independent restaurants grow using an AI-native business system with an accent on leadership, coaching, and revenue growth. Focus on building a high-performing BDR team, co-selling with representatives, and optimizing the internal sales system for better efficiency.

Location: On-site in Toronto (requires 5 days in office)

Salary: $230,000 OTE CAD ($165k base + $65k variable)

Owner is an AI-native system designed to replace fragmented tools for local business owners, starting with a comprehensive suite for restaurants including CRM, POS, and online ordering.

What you will do

  • Build and lead a world-class team of sales and business development representatives.
  • Coach team members on product expertise and consultative, high-trust selling techniques.
  • Lead from the front by actively co-selling with representatives.
  • Identify and execute projects to improve and scale the overall sales system.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align revenue goals with product development.

Requirements

  • Direct first-line management experience in the software industry (SMB preferred).
  • Proven history of personal and professional excellence in sales roles.
  • Strong consultative, customer-first sales approach and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change is frequent.
  • Must be based in Toronto and able to work 5 days a week from the office.
