TL;DR
Director of Knowledge Management: Establishing enterprise-wide knowledge strategy and governance frameworks to support rapid scaling and IPO readiness. Focus on building durable knowledge repositories, defining corporate ontologies, and driving cross-functional cultural change to ensure institutional memory preservation.
Location: Remote (USA only). Candidates must reside in the US, excluding AK, DE, IA, MS, NE, SD, WV, and WI.
Salary: $164,900–$230,000 (based on geographic tier).

What you will do
- Define enterprise-wide taxonomy, governance, and knowledge frameworks.
- Lead a cross-functional data retention program to transition storage to durable repositories.
- Partner with Legal to manage compliance, retention policies, and legal holds.
- Standardize knowledge capture for critical organizational transitions and decision-making.
- Co-own the tech stack governance including Confluence, Google Workspace, and Glean.
- Define and track KPIs for knowledge health, discoverability, and search efficacy.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in knowledge management, organizational effectiveness, or change management.
- Proven success scaling KM practices within high-growth, Series C+ or pre-IPO environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Google Workspace, Glean, Miro, and Slack.
- Strong track record of driving cross-functional behavior change and program management.
- Familiarity with data retention compliance, legal governance, or HR/L&D operations.
- Must be based in the United States (excluding specific restricted states).
