Salary: $144,000 - $180,000

What you will do
- Create models of parts and large-scale assemblies for a novel Turbogenerator using Siemens NX.
- Develop master geometry, skeleton models, and generate detailed 2D drawings for manufacture.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Manage the design lifecycle, interfacing with manufacturing, test, supply chain, and quality teams.
- Collaborate with stress and FEA engineers to validate and optimize designs.
- Maintain bills of materials (BOM), test profiles, and design guides.
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX and associated tools.
- Experience with stress and finite element analysis (FEA).
- Proficiency in PDM and PLM environments.
- Must have authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship provided.
Nice to have
- Experience with Turbogenerator design or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis.
- Prior experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains.
- Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification.
- Knowledge of simulation model validation and uncertainty quantification methods.
