Salary: $230,000–$250,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Lead the technical direction for critical backend systems and code execution engines.
• Design and implement high-availability systems to support massive data throughput.
• Write and review high-quality, well-tested code in Go, Rust, and Ruby.
• Identify and resolve complex issues in kernel, runtime, and storage layers.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture.
• Own solutions from design through to production and beyond.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Must be based in the US Eastern time zone.
• Deep expertise in Linux systems (namespaces, sockets, process isolation).
• Experience with container runtimes, orchestration, or code execution platforms.
• Proficiency in building low-level system primitives in Rust or Go.
• Strong debugging skills for complex kernel and runtime issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with POSIX filesystems and content-addressed storage.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and React for cross-stack contributions.
• Experience with AWS CDK and infrastructure-as-code.
