TL;DR

Sales Engineer (Cybersecurity): Partnering with sales teams to drive revenue growth by providing technical expertise throughout the customer buying journey with an accent on cybersecurity solutions, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations. Focus on identifying customer needs, designing complex security solutions, and conducting proof-of-value assessments for enterprise clients.

Location: Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity in San Diego, CA

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 OTE

What you will do

  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations for the company's cybersecurity portfolio (MDR, EDR, Encryption, MFA).
  • Conduct proof-of-value and proof-of-concept assessments to validate solutions for prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to qualify requirements and contribute to CRM opportunity responses.
  • Develop and maintain demonstration environments and testing programs.
  • Provide technical feedback and signposting throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Assist in the enablement of channel partners, MSPs, and MSSPs.

Requirements

  • Must be based in San Diego, CA for hybrid office attendance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role like Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, networking, or cloud security solutions.
  • Proven experience partnering with sales teams to support complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, EDR/XDR, SIEM, and zero-trust architectures.

Nice to have

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCNA, or cloud security certifications.
  • Experience working with channel partners, MSPs, or VARs.
