Logistics Analyst

TL;DR

Logistics Analyst (Supply Chain): Managing freight and warehousing planning to ensure efficient seed distribution across the U.S. and Canada with an accent on data-driven KPI tracking and seasonal shipping optimization. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain processes and resolve carrier performance issues.

Location: Must be based in Johnston, IA. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office attendance Tuesday–Thursday.

What you will do

• Monitor weekly shipping pace, inbound/outbound targets, and carrier capacities.
• Pre-position seed inventory from production sites to regional distribution centers.
• Develop and execute product returns strategies.
• Collaborate with customer service, logistics providers, and internal production teams.
• Track and communicate shipping metrics and KPIs to leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within the supply chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
• Working knowledge of logistics industry standards and data analytics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (Visa sponsorship not available).
• Understanding of process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
