What you will do
- Own the methodology, application, and governance of key Group performance metrics including Adjusted operating profit, Capital Generation, and Solvency II.
- Manage the quarterly Group results production process, including the preparation of governance papers and results packs for senior leadership.
- Interpret methodology for new products and transactions, resolving complex financial judgements and ensuring consistency across segments.
- Lead and develop a specialist team, fostering deep technical capability and professional judgement.
- Oversee the production of external reporting content, including Business and Financial Reviews and trading updates.
- Collaborate closely with Investor Relations to provide guidance and challenge on market messaging.
Requirements
- Deep technical understanding of Group performance metrics and their application in a highly governed environment.
- Proven ability to influence, challenge, and resolve differing viewpoints at senior levels.
- Strong professional judgement in applying methodology to complex and novel financial situations.
- Experience in explaining complex financial outcomes clearly to senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong governance and quality focus with experience operating under external scrutiny.
