Location: Hybrid based in Toronto, Ontario (office attendance 2+ days per week)

What you will do

  • Provide design and architectural guidance for complex software applications, services, and modules.
  • Maintain hands-on coding and champion software engineering best practices.
  • Take accountability for the delivery and quality of new platform capabilities, ensuring performance, security, and compliance.
  • Lead the identification and evaluation of design alternatives and technical trade-offs.
  • Manage task allocation, project timelines, and change control processes for medium-scale projects.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to ensure deliverables meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, including senior-level roles.
  • 1+ years of experience leading a team, either formally or informally.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work autonomously within an accountability framework.
  • Proficiency in resolving complex technical issues through creative thinking and innovative approaches.
