Leader, AI Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 150,000–175,000 per year, plus benefits, bonuses, and additional extra-hours payments.

What you will do

• Design, implement, govern, and continuously improve enterprise SDLC and DevSecOps frameworks.
• Manage development toolchains including GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Pulumi.
• Build reusable AI code libraries and modular components to accelerate software delivery.
• Embed security, compliance, quality controls, automated testing, code reviews, and version control throughout the development lifecycle.
• Partner with IT, Digital Enablement, Engineering, consulting, project management, and delivery teams to align platform standards with business and project needs.
• Lead continuous improvement, KPI reporting, emerging-technology evaluation, documentation, training, and technical mentoring.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or software engineering leadership.
• Proven experience implementing enterprise SDLC and DevSecOps governance frameworks.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, containerization, virtualization, and environment orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, automated testing, deployment workflows, and version control.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, secure software development, licensing compliance, and intellectual property protection.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial and digital platform SDKs such as Rockwell Studio 5000, Ignition, or Sepasoft MES.
• Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
• Background in systems integration or large-scale software environments.
