Facilities Manager

TL;DR

Facilities Manager (SaaS): Managing day-to-day office operations and facilities for the Barcelona HQ with an accent on vendor management, security protocols, and health and safety compliance. Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Barcelona, Spain (IRL-first approach: 3 days a week in-person).

What you will do

• Own day-to-day facilities and services to ensure a reliable and well-maintained office environment.
• Oversee cleaning, maintenance, waste management, pest control, and landscaping.
• Ensure proper functioning of building and security systems and coordinate repairs.
• Manage facilities budgets, purchase orders, and operational expenditure.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Support fit-out projects and collaborate with TechOps for AV/IT infrastructure maintenance.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Proven experience managing hard and soft services in a multi-vendor environment.
• Direct experience managing maintenance contracts and SLAs.
• Knowledge of Spanish legal requirements for building maintenance and compliance.
• Ability to independently handle budget control and invoice processing.
• Must be based within commuting distance of Barcelona.

Nice to have

• Experience leading fit-out and space configuration projects.
• Familiarity with workplace ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk) and SLA management.
