Field Resource Technician III (Energy Storage)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on BESS equipment, including SCADA communications, inverters, MV/HV operations, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale power and controls equipment by interpreting single-line drawings and schematics.
• Ensure site safety by utilizing hirify.global safety management systems and exercising stop-work authority when necessary.
• Act as a technical mentor and resource for junior team members on complex technical issues.
• Assist the Resource Manager with creating work orders, inventory management, and detailed site summary reports.
• Coordinate with 3rd party service vendors to ensure the safe and efficient execution of O&M services.

Requirements

• HS Degree and 4+ years of experience in electrical or renewable energy industries (solar, wind, BESS, gas, hydro, or distribution).
• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting using meggers, multi-meters, and thermal imaging tools.
• Experience with bidirectional inverters, 1500VDC/630VAC systems, and managed Ethernet switches.
• Ability to obtain or hold certifications for OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, and CPR.
• Valid driver's license with a good DMV record and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in extreme hot and cold environments.
