What you will do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of academic and medical institutions in the French and Italian markets.
  • Identify and close new business opportunities across France using consultative selling techniques.
  • Conduct online and onsite meetings with librarians, faculty leaders, and institutional decision-makers.
  • Represent Taylor & Francis journals, eBooks, and Open Research initiatives.
  • Analyze sales figures and market intelligence to refine strategies and flag potential risks.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and editorial teams to synchronize account activities.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in French (C2) and professional-level English.
  • Proven B2B consultative selling experience in academic publishing, edtech, or digital content sales.
  • Demonstrable passion for business development within universities and government research institutions.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills for engaging with consortia bodies and high-level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft tools (Excel, Power BI, Power Automate) and generative AI tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of journals and book sales within the academic landscape.
