TL;DR

Sales Executive (Academic Publishing): Managing and growing a portfolio of academic, governmental, and medical institutions across France and Italy with an accent on consultative B2B selling. Focus on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing institutional relationships, and promoting Taylor & Francis journals and eBooks.

Location: Must be able to attend the office in Milton Park, Oxfordshire (UK) 3 days per week when not traveling internationally in France and Italy.

What you will do

  • Own and develop a portfolio of institutions in French and Italian markets, tailoring solutions to customer needs.
  • Conduct online and onsite meetings with key stakeholders to renew subscriptions and close new sales.
  • Apply consultative selling techniques to propose bespoke, value-adding solutions to decision-makers.
  • Analyze sales figures and maintain usage records using CRM and Power BI.
  • Collaborate daily with sales, marketing, and editorial teams to coordinate activity and share market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in French and professional-level English.
  • Proven experience in B2B consultative selling within academic publishing, edtech, or digital content.
  • Ability to travel internationally across France and Italy for customer engagements and conferences.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, and generative AI tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of journals, book sales, and open access models in the academic landscape.
