What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of senior engineers and manage the recruitment of a second team in Poland.
• Oversee the technical direction and delivery of the Hippo Plus strategic product area.
• Introduce structure, engineering processes, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to manage the roadmap, balancing technical excellence with user benefit.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate business needs into engineering priorities.
• Coordinate activities with global teams located in the US, Brazil, and Poland.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in Node.js, React, and JavaScript.
• Proven experience leading technical teams, ideally during a product's scaling stage.
• Experience managing distributed remote teams across different time zones.
• English: C1 level required.
• Polish: Communicative level (B1) required.
• Availability during afternoons for multinational team coordination.

• Experience in a startup-like environment.
