Warranty Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage warranty systems, claims, reports, databases, and customer portal data for assigned products and sites.
• Lead cross-functional corrective actions and root cause analyses using 8D to improve product quality and reduce warranty costs.
• Review, validate, and approve warranty reports, ensuring customer charge compliance and managing disputes.
• Monitor warranty trends, claims, and health charts to identify risks and support decision-making.
• Conduct warranty part analysis and prepare customer-ready reports with conclusions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams, support improvement committees, mentor teams, and capture lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, with solid automotive industry experience, preferably in manufacturing, quality, or product engineering.
• Strong knowledge of quality methodologies and core tools, including 5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D, A3, APQP, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and FMEA.
• Advanced analytical skills, including data handling, visualization, and deriving actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across organizational levels.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and collaborative skills.

Nice to have

• Experience or exposure to embedded software and hardware.
• Experience working in global project teams.
