TL;DR

Technical Solutions Engineer (Networking): Deliver customer engineering support by responding to product inquiries, resolving issues during installation/operation, and troubleshooting complex networking problems with an accent on deep protocol expertise and packet-level diagnostics. Focus on triaging cases, recommending corrective actions, and documenting recurring technical issues to improve product quality and development.

Location: Sydney NSW, Australia (hybrid; office presence required 2–3 days a week). Australian work rights required (Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency, or demonstrable legal entitlement to work in Australia for the duration of employment).

What you will do

  • Respond to customer product inquiries via phone and written email.
  • Resolve customer concerns related to installation, operation, maintenance, and product compatibility.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Use networking protocol and technology expertise to debug and administer customer environments.
  • Document customer communications and recurring technical issues to support product quality and development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging, and administering networking technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of networking industry products and protocols, including AAA/RADIUS/TACACS, BGP, DHCP, EVPN, OSPFv2/v3, MPLS, NAT, VXLAN, VLAN, VRF, and QoS.
  • Experience troubleshooting with tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark (or similar packet generation/analysis tools).
  • Comfort level with Linux.
  • Australian work rights required for the duration of employment.
