What you will do

• Supervise and execute the design of complex mechanical systems for underground mobile mining equipment.
• Create detailed 3D layouts, drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks.
• Provide technical leadership, training, and guidance to team members on design and integration.
• Manage complex, multi-stage projects using recognized project management methodologies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards in all designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to solve integration issues and optimize manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology required.
• 5+ years of experience in the design of underground heavy mobile equipment.
• Must be able to work onsite in Lively, Ontario.
• Valid passport and driver’s license with ability to travel globally (up to 15%).
• Expert knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety in product design, and serviceability.
