Project Engineer (Electrical & SCADA)

Project Engineer (Electrical & SCADA): Leading the design, planning, and commissioning of electrical systems and SCADA for utility-scale wind farms with an accent on WTG switchgear, BOP design, and network architecture. Location: Montreal, Canada. Must be able to work in Canada without company sponsorship

Salary: $155,000 – $168,000 CAD + up to 10% bonus

What you will do

• Lead the design, planning, and commissioning of electrical systems (WTG switchgear and BOP) and SCADA systems (network architecture, HMI, communication).
• Coordinate installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities, including FAT and SAT.
• Oversee configuration and integration of power plant control systems, protection relays, and communication protocols like Modbus TCP/IP, OPC, and SQL.
• Review and manage technical documentation, including specifications, network diagrams, and substation designs.
• Provide expert-level technical support for electrical and SCADA configurations and support on-site teams during troubleshooting.
• Ensure strict compliance with NERC, ISO, and other applicable regulatory and technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (PhD in Power Electronics is desirable).
• 4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in Electrical or SCADA domains.
• Proven experience with BOP design, substations, WTG integration, and power plant control systems.
• Proficiency in English and French is required.
• Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be able to travel approximately 20% of the time.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
