What you will do
- Design and develop engineering, mathematical, and simulation models to optimize factory and supply chain performance.
- Identify and solve complex problems related to loading, equipment performance, and distribution networks.
- Build, validate, and apply decision algorithms, heuristics, and optimization tools.
- Collaborate with business units to identify root causes and define strategic technical solutions.
- Utilize formal technical training and business judgment to drive operational improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Management Science.
- Proficiency in CSharp and commercial optimization packages like CPLEX, Gurobi, or Autosched.
- Experience with database management systems such as SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of deterministic modeling, analytics, and programming.
- Knowledge of Operations Research, Linear Programming, Integer Programming, and Constraint Programming.
- Must be based in Penang, Malaysia for hybrid on-site work.
Nice to have
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and scheduling.
- Knowledge of Discrete Event Simulation, Simulated Annealing, Meta Heuristics, and Evolutionary Algorithms.
