Strategic Sourcing Category Manager - IT

Location: Remote role associated with Livonia, Michigan and Westchester, Illinois; generally office-based work with travel to hirify.global sites required approximately 20% of the time.

hirify.global is a healthcare organization operating a system-wide supply chain and group purchasing function.

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for direct and indirect supplies, services, equipment, and IT-related categories.
• Manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, evaluate supplier responses, perform cost-benefit analyses, and negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Lead cross-functional teams and build stakeholder consensus around sourcing strategies, standardization, and process changes.
• Manage supplier relationships, business reviews, performance scorecards, service issues, and business continuity risks.
• Partner with legal and finance teams on contract language, compliance, and validation of forecasted savings.
• Represent hirify.global in group purchasing organization activities and advisory boards as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a clinical discipline, plus 5 years of relevant supply chain experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing, complex contract negotiations, supplier management, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and project management skills, including experience with TCO, EVC, and NPV analyses.
• Knowledge of contract law, applicable regulations, Lean concepts, and technical problem-solving methods.
• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of an enterprise resource planning application is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, collaborate across functions, and travel to hirify.global sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Technical certification such as CQM, CPM, or CPIM.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning applications.
