Strategic Sourcing Leader (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, with presence in the San Francisco, San Jose, or Bellevue office four days per week; Tuesday is the designated work-from-home day.

Annual salary: $211,000–$281,000 for remote work, $223,000–$298,000 in Bellevue, or $248,000–$331,000 in San Francisco/San Jose.

What you will do

• Own multi-year sourcing and category strategies for datacenter equipment, construction, and trade packages.
• Partner with construction, design, and development teams from site selection and procurement through commissioning and handover.
• Procure long-lead infrastructure equipment such as generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, chillers, and cooling distribution systems.
• Select and negotiate with general contractors, EPCs, design firms, specialty trades, and equipment suppliers using appropriate commercial models.
• Lead negotiations, owner-furnished equipment strategy, change-order resolution, supplier performance management, and contract governance.
• Drive cost reduction, capacity reservation, prefabrication, schedule compression, and risk mitigation across the construction portfolio.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, or 8+ years with a Master's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, data analytics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience owning multi-year category strategies for complex, high-spend, supply-constrained categories.
• Demonstrated experience personally negotiating major construction, equipment, GC/EPC, and trade agreements.
• At least 3 years of indirect or informal team leadership, with experience influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with datacenter or critical-facility infrastructure procurement, construction contracting, change orders, claims, and project closeout.

Nice to have

• Datacenter infrastructure equipment category management experience.
• Program management experience delivering datacenter capacity at scale.
• Experience negotiating master agreements and resolving disputes with Legal.
• Experience establishing sourcing governance or supplier management practices.
• Experience applying AI and automation tools to supply chain or procurement workflows.
