Salary: $100,622 - $150,622 CAD

What you will do
- Lead structural development and verification of spacecraft subsystems from concept through flight qualification.
- Perform structural modeling and assess hardware performance under static, dynamic, vibration, and shock loading.
- Define structural verification strategies and success criteria aligned with mission requirements.
- Plan and execute environmental qualification test campaigns including vibration and modal testing.
- Collaborate with systems, RF, electrical, and manufacturing teams to develop integrated spacecraft solutions.
- Identify structural risks and recommend design improvements to enhance reliability and manufacturability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in developing and verifying structural solutions for complex mechanical or aerospace systems.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, dynamics, vibration, shock, and fatigue.
- Proficiency with NASTRAN-based analysis environments (e.g., Simcenter 3D, FEMAP, MSC NASTRAN).
- Experience with CAD platforms such as Onshape, Creo, SolidWorks, or NX.
- Must be comfortable working in a hands-on development environment involving prototyping and testing.
Nice to have
- Experience developing mission-critical spacecraft or satellite hardware.
- Familiarity with ESA ECSS or NASA structural engineering standards.
- Experience with lightweight structures, deployable systems, or precision mechanisms.
- Eligibility for P.Eng. licensure in a Canadian jurisdiction.
