Location: Must be based in Canada (East Coast preferred)

Salary: CAD $120,000 – $150,000 + Equity

What you will do

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll for US, Canadian, and global employees ensuring tax compliance.
  • Manage pre-joining and onboarding experiences for new hires across international locations.
  • Maintain people policies, employee handbooks, and labor law compliance documentation.
  • Manage employee expenses and reimbursements via Ramp.
  • Lead company events, town halls, and recognition programs.
  • Improve HR workflows and automation to reduce manual operational tasks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law, CRA coordination, and tax compliance.
  • Experience with global payroll systems across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency with HRIS tools such as Rippling, Deel, Ramp, Asana, and Notion.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and build rapport across diverse cultures.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
