What you will do
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with mining customers through regular site visits and technical discussions.
- Develop and execute regional sales plans to drive revenue, margin, and market share growth.
- Identify new business opportunities and shape sales strategies based on market intelligence and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to deliver fit-for-purpose wear solutions.
- Manage regional sales budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets while maintaining accurate CRM data in Salesforce.
- Monitor competitor activity and regional market conditions to identify risks and emerging opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be based in Johannesburg, South Africa with the legal right to work in the country.
- At least five years of experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial markets.
- Proven experience in technical sales, account management, or business development.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, margin analysis, and contract considerations.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and discuss technical requirements with customers.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer and mine sites across the region.
