What you will do
- Own the performance of the South African BD function, focusing on activity, pipeline quality, and revenue conversion.
- Coach and manage the BDR Team Lead and individual contributors using data and call insights.
- Set and enforce standards for outbound quality, CRM hygiene, and sales handovers.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews to address behavioral or performance risks early.
- Partner with the Global Head of BD to localize processes and provide market feedback for global strategy.
- Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and operational support for the Cape Town office.
Requirements
- Based in Cape Town, South Africa
- Native-level English proficiency (C2)
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Minimum 5 years of tech business development/sales experience, with at least 3 years in people management.
- Proven track record of driving revenue through outbound motion.
- Strong ability to coach both individual contributors and team leads using metrics.

- Experience specifically managing or developing a Team Lead/manager.
