TL;DR
Director, Growth (Paid Mobile Growth): Own the strategy and execution of paid user acquisition for Gist’s consumer app with an accent on app install channel leadership, performance creative testing, and building a post-iOS 14 measurement/attribution stack. Focus on scaling UA from early-stage to mass-market growth while hiring and leading a high-performing UA team and partnering with product, data, and creative.

Salary: $221,000 - $362,000 USD (CA base pay range)

What you will do
- Own end-to-end paid UA across Apple Search Ads, Google UAC/App Campaigns, Meta, TikTok, Snap, YouTube, programmatic, and emerging channels.
- Define channel mix, budget allocation, and bidding strategies to hit CPI, CAC, and LTV targets using app store-native install dynamics.
- Lead performance creative end-to-end, building toward an in-house creative team and running hypothesis-driven creative testing frameworks.
- Build and own the attribution and measurement stack, including MMP oversight, SKAN/ATT framework, incrementality testing, and MMM.
- Partner with data science on LTV models and cohort-level optimization frameworks; define KPIs and reporting cadences.
- Hire and develop a small UA team, manage agency/vendor relationships, and operate hands-on in campaign tools and analytics.
Requirements
- 8+ years in performance/user acquisition marketing with meaningful experience in consumer mobile apps.
- Experience owning a meaningful UA budget and being hands-on in tools (not only directing).
- Proven track record scaling a B2C app from growth stage to broad adoption.
- Deep expertise in app install channels (Apple Search Ads, Google UAC, Meta, TikTok) and blended acquisition strategy.
- Strong mobile measurement expertise: MMPs (Adjust, AppsFlyer, Kochava), SKAN/ATT, incrementality, and probabilistic attribution post-iOS 14.
- Experience building and managing small-to-mid UA teams.
