What you will do
- Own the full sales cycle from initial lead generation to ongoing customer utilization for commercial prospects.
- Organize and lead Proof of Concept (POC) implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise.
- Lead and contribute to team projects aimed at developing and optimizing the internal sales process.
- Collaborate with the product team to build and maintain the dbt Cloud commercial roadmap.
- Engage stakeholders across all levels of an analytics organization, from individual developers to the CTO.
- Actively participate in the dbt open-source community.
Requirements
- 6+ years of closing experience in technology sales with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into consultative sales strategies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage long and intricate sales cycles involving multiple client teams.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment.
- Must be based in Australia.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, or open-source software.
- Existing knowledge of or prior experience with dbt.
- Proficiency in SQL or a strong willingness to learn.
