What you will do

• Architect and build foundational platform components, including service routing, cloud networking, and account lifecycle control planes.
• Develop and automate tooling to migrate customer accounts from legacy environments to multi-cell architecture at scale.
• Write robust backend services and infrastructure code primarily in Go and Python.
• Design network architecture involving VPC management, load balancing, DNS, and service mesh configurations.
• Implement automation using Argo Workflows, Kubernetes, and Terraform to enhance platform reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product engineering and security teams to define technical direction and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend roles for SaaS.
• Proficiency in Go or Python with a history of building large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Terraform.
• Experience working asynchronously within a fully-remote, distributed team.
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts including load balancing, DNS, and VPCs.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with cell-based or multi-tenant architectures and large-scale migrations.
• Hands-on experience with nginx, Istio, Envoy, AWS Transit Gateway, or PrivateLink.
• Professional exposure to Rust.
• Advanced cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
